Facebook's gaming app is closing, what will happen next?

Facebook's gaming app is closing, what will happen next?

Facebook's gaming app, which is available for iOS and Android, is going to be closed. The app was released only two years ago.

In a notification issued by Facebook, it has been mentioned that after 28 October 2022, the app will not be downloaded and will not work.

Facebook launched gaming in 2018 to compete with Twitch, YouTube, and Mixer, which it later launched as a mobile app in 2020.

In order to reduce the dominance of YouTube and Twitch, it was necessary to attract a wide range of users. Facebook had prepared a gaming app for that. Through this platform, creators can earn by streaming gaming.

Even if Facebook's gaming app is closed, the web version of this feature will work.

In 2019, YouTube shut down its gaming app saying that users were confused about various things. Facebook has not yet given any information as to why it is shutting down the app.

Facebook has invested heavily in its gaming platform. Facebook has partnered with many creators for gaming features.

Streamers such as Brazilian footballer Neymar Jr., Grand Theft player Rummy and Digest Tweet have been added to it.

Facebook gaming gained popularity after the covid epidemic. It has many features for streamers, so users have increased.
